Fabulous goalie. I saw him against Mohun Bagan in Rovers Cup, 1967.
DeleteLot of Forgotten heroes are missed. I saw them when I was a kid of 7-8 year old onwards and still remember them. Albino (Sesa Goa), Alcantro (Salgaoncar) these two I have met and played with in my later life in Kuwait. Who we miss around are Goal keepers Sinari (from Asnora), Gopi (the tall Goa Police Goal Keeper), Jimmy Machado, Nicholas (Panvel SC), Raymond (Vasco SC), George Ambrose (Vasco SC, who was nicknamed Pele) and many many other great Goan footballers. To those who passed away RIP, rest God bless them.
ReplyDeleteThere is one more Goal keeper missing here. He too was a great goalkeeper. He was from Asnora, used to play for if I am not mistaken Salgaoncar sports club (hope I am right) Has anyone got any clue on him? the name which was famous in football of Goa is SINARI.
